Lately I've been trying to get all our 365 pictures in order. We're still on top of it, it's just I haven't updated our 365 page in quite a while. Also I've been starting to get overwhelmed with school work. If I'm not careful, it'll all pile up & I'll get way behind. Honestly, I'm ready for film to be over. I'm also in the market for a new camera. My heart is breaking at the thought of selling the one I currently have. I haven't even had it for a year. But in order to do well in school I need to upgrade. So yeah, I guess I'm kinda stoked about that.

 

& one last thing. My birfday is in 8 daysss!!!

One // Jesus is on our watermelon. See Him? Do we eat it?

Two // Went to the movies (no surprise) & bub bought me my favorite! An XL slushie!

Three // spotted these suckers at PetSmart. Thinking Maggie will be Batman & Kodi will be her sidekick -- Robin. Cause we all know Maggie is the big sister & all.

Four // The mister's attempt at making up the bed. How you say "epic fail".

Five // Our gigantic box of coffee arrived just time for school. Pumpkin spice anyone?

Six // Trying to figure out what to wear for my first blate. Clearly I was struggling. 

Seven // Visual theory isn't our favorite class. Fortunately I friends to make it fun.

Eight // She's been getting into lots of trouble lately. I think it's because her mama & papa aren't home much anymore. So she's been spending quality time in her crate.

Nine // Found this creepy home to shoot for an assignment. 

Ten // My life now.

Eleven // A 365 picture from the other day. Not real sure how we didn't crash. Don't try this at home kids.

Twelve // Me & my daddio. Dude turned 49. Isn't his gote (spelling?) killer?

lately {29}

one // we  f i n a l l y  made it to ikea together. i mean i've only been begging him to go with me for ages. he loved it :D i knew he would. that place is straight up magical. going from room to room all we could say was 'let's get that. & that. & that.' sigh of relief it was almost better than sex ;)

two // we hit up the movie theater where we saw kickass 2. it was a him thing.

three // the great race pre-photo my parents bought it for us as an anniversary gift. it's basically just like the show the amazing race except smaller & only in atlanta. so much fun!

four // the great race post-photo. again, it was a blast! we came in sixth place out of 75. 

five // me with my mama & older sissy enjoying lunch at ABC. 

six // mama got me another watch. now i can't be late for my classes.

seven // photography school is jack expensive. but i'm learning to get over it cause i get toys like this :) can't wait to learn how to use it.

eight // we're easily entertained. two bucks at walmart.

nine // yep, that's me with a baby. close your eyes & pretend it's 2018 & i might actually be holding my own child.

ten // i hate getting gas except when i'm panicking that my car's going to run empty. dodged that bullet.

one // last week's date night. which consisted of moe's burritos, a red box movie 

& snuggling under the covers with our pups.

two // kodi tends to wake us up most mornings like this. 

she's ready to play at all hours of the day.

three // on our way to the mall & i broke my brand new sunnies :/ 

so i popped out the other lens making them an addison to an future hipster outfits.

four // yes... another sonic milkshake picture. 

five // we like to have fun on the go.

six // the weather has been unreal lately. today was a high was 74!!! last time i checked

 it was still august, right? so i took full advantage of it & went for a nice long run.

seven & eight // we took the kids for a car ride {their personal favorite}. maggie loves 

sitting in the back, occasionally peeking her teeny head out the window for her ears to flap. 

while kodi tries to sneak up front like she's a miniature poodle or something.

lately {27}

this week's been pretty rando. the good news though is my mother-in-law is home from the hospital! just for the next six weeks she'll have to take it easy. that means no cleaning, yard work or cooking!!!! yes, i'm talking to you mrs. sharon ;)

one // i decided to take a lovely afternoon nap. no big deal right? well kodi must have thought it was weird or something because i woke up to her hovering over me just staring. she's a nut.
two // my sister & i discovered a restaurant {that's only been two minutes from us the whole time} today that had the best & super cheap sushi. score! mmm we loaded up on it too.
three // here lately we've neglected our pups. with driving back & forth to the hospital & preparing for school, we haven't had much time to take them on walks. but we made time this past week :)
four // my mother-in-laws butterfly bushes are thriving! lately with all this rain they've been attracting butterflies by the herds {herds? wrong word?}.
five // peace from the brotherton's.
six // found this old kodac instamatic in the cabniet just nestled behind unused tupperware. we're hoping with some new batteries & a good cleaning it'll still work! #fingerscrossed

what have you been up to lately?

lately {26} & resurfacing

lately i've been sick. like help-i'm-seeing-double-can't-breathe sick. after multiple doctor visits, a bottle of steroids, an inhaler & a few bottles of nyquil later, i've been able to move & finally resurface. but being sick definitely has its advantages.

like getting new phones - - -> 

there's actually a story behind this. M's never had a smart phone *gasp* yeah i know. weird. my phone basically runs my life from sunup to sundown. i guess he woke up that morning realizing it was time to man up & get a real phone. & because he can't do anything without thinking of me {& the fact that i was sick} he got me one too. thanks for the new life support hun. it's the shiz.






also getting new clothes - - -> 
i've never owned a peplum top before. now i own two. looks like i actually have hips. i can get used to this.


& lately there's also been lots of doggie snuggle time under the covers. as well as plenty of time to rest & watch trashy reality tv. though all of those things were great to receive due to my illness, probably the best thing about being sick was the outreach & encouragement i got from you guys. i couldn't believe the number of sweet emails & even letters in the MAIL from friends i've created over the internet. you all make me feel so special.

we are at the beach. need i sigh again? with this cancer crap & busy lives, it's been everything we've needed as a family. just getting a way was good enough -- having the beach & ocean combination is the cherry on top if i do say so myself. so lately life's been all about the sand, sunscreen, getting sun kissed {& kisses from M ;)}, celebrating our FIRST wedding anniversary!!! & creating memories that i never want to forget.
