it's friday

friday, gotta get down on friday.... too old? yea, i thought so.

i'm not doing a friday's letters today. i just got home from a long day at work & i'm not really feeling it. instead i thought i'd share where M & i are off to at the end of the month.

what have you been up to lately {17}

we ended our redbox kick & moved on to bigger & better thing -- sonic milkshakes. these pictures made me really see how much we love those shakes... yeah, lately we've been a little obsessed with them. going almost nightly, cause if you go after 8pm their shakes are half off. which is funny since i'm told that's the worst time to drink a large coconut cream pie milkshake. ooops. #yolo 

lately we're on the hunt for a new home again. we took a break because we thought other doors were going to be opened up, but they weren't. no biggie though. M likes watching house hunters & that's been getting us in the spirit of moving. which reminds me! -- anyone have good moving advice? this will be our first move together. M & i are the wait-till-the-last-minute packers. so don't hesitate to share your tricks & tips with us procrastinators. 

oh, & lately i've been looking for a new remote for my camera. yes, i did just buy one, & that's it up there ^^^. kodi managed to get a hold of it & kind of killed it. but i wasn't too upset with her because after a few days of using it, the remote didn't work well {that's what i get for buying a $5 remote...}. recommend a good one? this time i promise to spend more.

a moment to show your appreciation

i'll be honest, growing up i didn't see the value in teacher appreciation week {gasp!}. up until half way through my high school career, i didn't enjoy school. but one year i had a life changing teacher. seriously. she didn't just teach me grammar or how to properly set up my resume. she taught me the importance of reading & pointed out how often we use the word "like" incorrectly. but most importantly, she taught me respect.
it could also be the fact that M is a teacher himself, & i'm finishing up my teaching degree, that really puts it all into perspective, but teachers are people too. & they loved being appreciated almost more than anything else. makes me wish i appreciated all my teachers/professors more often. what they are doing isn't easy or glamourous. so be sure to show your educators a little appreciation this week with a small gift or even a quick "thank you".

now it's time to give my favorite teacher a kiss
to show him how much i appreciate him ;)

publix commercials

can we all agree that those are quite the tear jerkers. i mean, geez it's a bloody commercial, but publix knows how to tug at my heart. i especially love this commercial, & it's obvious it's on because mother's day is this sunday. which brings me to my next topic -- what on earth do i get my mama? it's hard to buy the perfect gift for the perfect woman. what says you've been everything to me. thanks for raising me to be a godly woman. thanks for disciplining me all those years. thanks for loving me for me??? 

mom's really are the greatest treasures. the gift has to be perfect. 

oh, shoot! i just remembered, i have two moms now. haha!

what are you getting your mom for mother's day? or better yet, what are you hoping to get ;)

dear at&t your internet service is a p.i.t.a. we pay every month for your fast & reliable speed but we aren't getting any of that. i think we've had four different technicians come out here & "fix" it but nothing's better. i just tried calling your customer service & you asked for M's social security number. heck no, i'm not giving that to you. you are lame. #endrant
dear may you have been a stellar month so far. i love finding outfits that represent you the most. right now i think pastels & open toe flats describe you best. what do you think?
dear geese in our yard at first i thought you were so annoying for pooing in our yard. it's literally been a mine field out there -- dodging & scooping out the area for little green turds, but then i woke up this morning & saw your seven babies eating & crapping as they waddled. it was so cute. you're welcome in the yard whenever :)
dear redbox i'm crossing my fingers lincoln is available. i've visited you almost everyday this week, but no such luck. i need me some daniel day lewis asap.
dear readers remember that exciting news i was so excited to share with you, but at the time i couldn't? well i can now... but it's not exciting news. it's the opposite :( i'll share more soon.
